Product Description
Make the most of your living space with the IKEA BRIMNES Extendable Daybed, a cleverly designed multifunctional bed that combines comfortable seating, flexible sleeping arrangements and useful storage in one stylish white frame. Ideal for guest rooms, children's bedrooms, studio apartments and compact living spaces, this daybed offers everyday practicality without compromising on appearance.
When kept in its compact position, the BRIMNES functions as a single bed with a sleeping area designed for an 80 × 200 cm mattress. Add comfortable cushions along the back and sides to create a relaxed sofa-style seating arrangement during the day. Its clean white panels and simple rectangular design blend naturally with modern, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.
One of its most useful features is the extendable sleeping platform. By pulling out the lower bed base, the BRIMNES transforms into a larger bed that accommodates two 80 × 200 cm mattresses placed side by side, creating a combined 160 × 200 cm sleeping surface. This makes it especially convenient when family members or guests stay overnight, while allowing you to save floor space when the larger bed is not needed.
The daybed also features two spacious storage drawers beneath the sleeping platform. Each drawer measures 85 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 16 cm high internally, providing useful storage for extra blankets, pillowcases, bedsheets, seasonal bedding and other bedroom essentials. The integrated storage helps reduce the need for additional cabinets and keeps your belongings neatly organised.
Constructed using engineered wood panels with solid pine bed slats, the frame provides a practical foundation for the compatible mattresses. The white finish gives the bed a fresh, understated appearance, while the raised back and end panels provide the enclosed daybed look that makes this model particularly versatile.
With overall closed dimensions of 205 cm long, 87 cm wide and 58 cm high, the IKEA BRIMNES is a smart option for rooms where space-saving furniture is important. This genuine IKEA daybed has been used for 7 months and is offered in good pre-owned condition. The sale includes the original extendable frame, supporting slats and two integrated storage drawers.
